Developed by Pineleaf Studio and published by Merge Games, Dwarfheim is about, well… dwarves. Specifically, drunken dwarves. You play as a dwarf (no way!) attempting to build a civilization, but are plagued by grotesque monsters and rival clans. You can team up with two of your pals, though, so you’re not fighting or crafting alone - you can hang out in the mines with your mates (not the Mines of Moria, alas) and have a pretty chill time in between all the axe-swinging and tower-building. It looks lovely. You can check out the official Dwarfheim gameplay trailer, officially unveiled for the first time at the PC Gaming Show today, in the video embedded below. The multiplayer is the selling point here, I think. Aside from cool dwarves and weird monster lads, being able to play a real-time strategy game centered around everyone’s favourite fantasy humanoid with your friends sounds pretty cool. You’ll just need to be careful that the in-game clan wars don’t translate to real-life in-fighting. Or maybe that’s what dwarves are supposed to do. You can sign up for the Dwarfheim multiplayer beta now, which is set to take place from June 19 - June 21. According to a press release, it’s due to release properly this fall. Dwarfheim isn’t the only game that’s been shown so far. Persona 4 Golden was unveiled for Steam and is already available to purchase and play for €19.99 or your regional equivalent. Meanwhile, upcoming strategy title Humankind has been pushed back to 2021. Also, you can now check out the first gameplay footage of Evil Genius 2: World Domination. You can check out the whole PC Gaming Show stream in the video embedded below. Dwarfheim footage kicks in about an hour into the stream.
