Google Stadia has been in a weird spot since it came out. The cloud-based game streaming service hasn’t quite taken over in the way the mega-corporation might have hoped, but it does command a small niche in the industry. It’s possible that niche is ready to grow now, too, as Apple users can now start streaming games to their iPhone and iPad. It was announced the functionality was coming a few weeks ago, and it is now live. Sadly, there is no app, but instead a web-based option. In order to use the service, you will need to be updated to the latest iOS release 14.3. After that, head into your web app of choice and go to stadia.google.com. You can then set a shortcut on your home screen. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. If you have none but want to try the service, Google still offers a one-month trial of Stadia Pro. This brings with it a library of games to stream straight away. When that trial ends, it costs £8.99 a month. Interestingly, if you want to play Cyberpunk 2077 but are worried about performance issues on the hardware available to you, Google Stadia is actually one of the better options available right now. Due to the processing happening on Google’s side, you don’t need a top of the line console or PC at your disposal. Do keep in mind, though, you will still have to buy the game as it is not included with Pro.
