Marvel’s Avengers has officially gone live for some Deluxe Edition owners around the world, with more joining them later today. It may not surprise you to know that Avengers, as a modern AAA game, has a busy marketplace and a paid currency ready to bought on day one. This also means the various stores already have packs of Credits, the game’s paid currency, ready to go. According to PlayStation Store listings, four packs of Credits are available for purchase.
500 Credits - $5. 2,000 Credits (plus 200 bonus) - $20. 5,000 Credits (plus 1,000 bonus) - $50. 10,000 Credits (plus 3,000 bonus) - $100.
Credits can be spent on various cosmetics, including costumes, teakedowns (finishing animations), emotes and nameplates. Each of these items come in different rarities, and their prices vary. A rare emote, for example, can be as low as 250 Credits. Outfits likewise start from 700 Credits for a rare, all the way up to 1,400 Credits for a legendary. By levelling up the Hero Card for each of the game’s six launch characters, you could earn up to 1,300 of free Credits per card. Obviously, this process is long, and requires maining a single hero for hours until their card is fully complete. All of the currently available Hero Cards are unlocked for all players, in both their free and premium tracks. Cards for post-launch heroes, however - like Hawkeye - will cost 1,000 Credits ($10) each for the premium track. A Hero Card is essentially a Battle Pass for each hero, with the major difference being that they don’t come with a time limit as most Battle Passes in games typically do.
