Earlier this week, it was reported that a two-year investigation by the state of California has brought about a lawsuit aimed at Activision Blizzard. The investigation brought to light multiple accounts of sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying, unfair pay, and inappropriate behavior and comments directed at female employees within the company. Now, one former high-level executive at Blizzard, and one current executive, have addressed the allegations made against the developer, one publicly and one privately, by calling the outlined behavior out as unacceptable....

Most of the new weapons and gear in Borderlands 3 drops randomly, though the likes of the Plus Ultra and Faulty Star shields drop at high Mayhem levels after boss fights. One such weapon is the Hyperion shotgun Convergence, which players are touting as one of the best shotguns currently in-game. It does a wild amount of damage with stacking, has pretty decent accuracy and handling and a surprisingly fast reload time of under two seconds in most rolls....

To commemorate this achievement, Square Enix is having a sale in Japan as well as a contest open to Japanese residents where they can win a gift card or an art print by artist Naoki Ikushima. The illustration features the four main characters above a stylized million number and the word “Thanks!” It’s a bit of a tradition for a celebratory illustration to commemorate a Square Enix JRPG’s success, and it’s cool that a fan will get to have it now too....

Announced today during the Nintendo Mini Direct, Burnout Paradise Remastered will be released sometime this year on Switch. The game will be fully optimized and enhanced for the Nintendo Switch in 60 FPS, and will include a pinch-and-pull map control for ease of navigation. Alongside the original base game, it also comes with the eight previously released add-on game packs. This includes Big Surf Island, Cops and Robbers, Legendary Cars, Burnout Bikes and more - excluding time savers....

The second weekend of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta went live yesterday. The beta is open to everyone on PS4, but still limited to pre-orders on PC and Xbox One. One of the more common complaints from the first weekend has been the rate at which weapons level up. Ranking up a weapon is the only way to earn attachments, of course, and with the number of available options for each one, the grind has been a little ridiculous to get a few basic items like a suppressor and higher-zoom optics....

Bascially, Activision has extended its Free Access period by two weeks starting on March 30 and ending on April 13. What’s included is Season Two maps Casablanca and Gondola. Vanguard also includes other maps popular with the community like Hotel Royale, Dome, and Radar, which can be played on modes like Domination, Control, and Hardpoint. The free period also icludes the ability to capture and secure bases in the Alps....

The latest patch for Call of Duty: Warzone went live on Saturday. This small patch is intended to address a few of the problems that cropped up after the merge with Black Ops Cold War. Many of the problems are not specifically related to Black Ops Cold War; some are even returning issues Warzone players will be very familiar with. The patch fixes a particularly nasty issue that caused players to get stuck in the loadout menu when they go in to select one in a loadout drop....

Activision announced on Friday that free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone has already been played by over 50 million people. The news comes three weeks after the mode broke 30 million, and a little over four weeks since it first launched. Even away from official figures, the success of Warzone is no secret. The launch of Modern Warfare’s Season three revitalised the game with the new Quads mode, and a refresh to floor loot....

As with every weekly rest, the list of available modes in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare gets refreshed. Sometimes that means new additions, other times it’s just a revival of a fan favourite. This week, the playlist update will finally give Modern Warfare players a 24/7 Shipment playlist. Demolition also returns to Modern Warfare with the same update. Demolition is essentially Search and Destroy with respawns. Over on the Warzone side, the Blood Money Plunder variant arrives for Trios....

Call of Duty: Warzone’s sandbox nature allows for some amazing, off the cuff tactics. If you’re wiling to experiment a little, the game offers a number of tools you can use to get the upper hand without needing to even shoot. This why the vehicle meta is so strong in Solos, for instance. Reddit user RoobinKrumpa and their team were up against one last squad in the final circle. The enemy team, holed up in a bunker, wasn’t interested in leaving and facing the music, opting instead to wait it out and leave at the very last minute....

One of the more frustrating things in Call of Duty: Warzone has little to do with the game itself, and more about the way developer Infinity Ward curates the available list of modes and playlists. Warzone, just like Warfare’s core multiplayer, gets a playlist update twice a week. Players usually find out what’s changed when they log in to play, which inevitably leaves some disappointed when their favourite mode suddenly disappears, or gets hidden behind another menu....

Season 6 begins Thursday, October 7 in both games, and you can expect files to be made available for download earlier in the week as usual. As for what you can expect, there’s a host of new content across Warzone, multiplayer and Zombies. Beginning with Warzone, the Verdansk 84 map has seen a few changes. Thanks to fissures that broke out underneath the surface, several areas of the map have been ravaged....

While Infinity Ward Poland is more of an assist studio to the one in LA, focussing more on research and development, it looks like the studio has some bigger plans. A job listing mentioning an unannounced, AAA, open-world RPG went up recently. It’s been taken down now, but Twitter user Faizan Shaikh was able to grab some screenshots before it was. “Activision Publishing is seeking a talented and passionate Narrative Director to ideate, create and direct the implementation of story, dialogues, and scenes for an unannounced AAA project,” reads the job description....

The C.O.D.E. Bowl is the Endowment’s charity event to raise awareness and funds for veteran employment. For the first time ever, all five U.S. Department of Defence military branches and the UK military are participating with members from their own esports teams. The Bowl includes three new teams from the US Marine Corps, US Air Force, and the US Space Force. In addition, the United Kingdom’s British Army, Royal Air Force, and Royal Navy....

It doesn’t take any brain gymnastics to figure out how this all went down, either. In a post to the r/Activision subreddit, which has since been deleted, the player shared that they’d been banned from Modern Warfare 2 on October 28. They appealed their ban, and it was denied. Most people would perhaps leave it there and accept fate, getting thrills from playing on a friend’s console and so forth in the meantime, but this Redditor — u/PlumContent — had another idea....

According to the official news post on the Capcom USA website, the show is set to last around 35 minutes long, so you won’t have to stay up too late or sneak away from work for too long. This follows suit with the PlayStation State of Play that happened last week, which also didn’t eat up too much of viewers’ time. With over 30,000 items on the Steam Workshop page, it might be best to check the Tabletop Simulator Reddit to narrow down the choices a bit.
