Most of the chatter is emphatically speculative in nature and is pretty much comprised of, “I wonder what Geralt would look like as a custom character in Cyberpunk 2077.” However, some fans have taken things a step further - one cyberpunk aficionado actually took to Reddit to share what they called a “Cyber Witcher.” Check out the post below.
The picture was originally posed by Swish_Fate - who the image is credited to - and depicts an astonishingly accurate version of Geralt of Rivia, except cyberpunk. He’s got a cyberpunky eye-patch, a cyberpunky leather jacket with a weird engine collar, a cyberpunky gun that looks like an arms dealer got really into brutalism - basically, he’s got all the cyberpunky stuff a cyber witcher should have. Some players have elected to draw character inspiration from elsewhere - one person wants to make Harrison Ford, another Farrison Hord, and another Harrisalt Riviord. One particular joker reckons they’re gonna make Batista but with glasses two sizes too small. Wonder where they got that idea from. After the Cyber Witcher post took off, people were pretty quick to realize that basically everybody is going to make Geralt in Cyberpunk 2077 now. In fairness, they’re not wrong. If the fan-made concept art is indicative of anything at all, it’s that Geralt looks pretty badass in both cyber and punk getup. I am almost definitely going to make Geralt in Cyberpunk 2077. In non-Geralt Cyberpunk 2077 news, it appears that there will be over 1,000 NPCs in Cyberpunk 2077 with individual daily routines. Meanwhile Cyberpunk 2020 creator Mike Pondsmith was recently credited as having said, “Cyberpunk was a warning, not an aspiration.” If you’re excited to see some more Cyberpunk from CD Projekt Red itself, the Cyberpunk 2077 event originally planned for June 11 was recently rescheduled, and will now air on June 25.
